Patricia Viterbo grew up in Versailles and Saint-Germain-en-Laye. She worked as a beautician and the stand-in for the model Victoire of the Christian Dior company. From 1960 to 1962 she was engaged to the singer Johnny Hallyday. After their engagement ended she started a movie career in 1963. In 1963 she debuted in François Rigaut's "Les Gros Bras" as Nicole Rodin. In the same year "L'enfer est vide" was shot by Bernard Knowles. She appeared in it with Martine Carol, but by the time it was released in 1967, she and Martine were both dead. Patricia Viterbo appeared in seven films in 1964 alone and several more until 1967 in her short career.

During the last shooting day of Pierre Zimmer's "Le Judoka agent secret", she had lunch with the actor Henri Garcin. When he drove her back to the set in his sportscar, he drove the car into the Seine instead of a few centimeters towards it after he accidentally touched the accelerator instead of the brake. He was able to save himself, but Viterbo was stuck in the car. After divers freed her from the car she was taken to the Boucicaut Hospital, but she was dead when she arrived there. She was buried at her birthplace Le Vésinet near Paris.
